In the field of video production, the evolution of computer graphics (CG) is significantly changing our production workflows. Particularly, advancements in real-time rendering and AI technologies are driving this change, leading to the acquisition of new skills and the restructuring of production processes. In this lecture, I will discuss the 40-year evolution of CG and digital imaging technologies and their future prospects from the perspective of a technician. Furthermore, we will explore how these transitions in CG technology are impacting industries and daily life. Let’s consider together the possibilities and challenges of how the shift in perspective brought about by CG will shape our future.
